Description

We are a digital marketing agency looking for a Digital Analytics Consultant to support our team and eCommerce clients, particularly in the following areas:

• Implementation and optimisation of GA4 tracking

• Client-side and server-side Google Tag Manager

• Consent Management Platforms (CMPs)

• Ideally, tracking implementations in combination with Shopify

We are open to both freelancers and candidates seeking permanent employment, on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Tasks

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced GA4 tracking setups, including GA4 Enhanced E-commerce

• Develop, implement, and maintain client-side and server-side Google Tag Manager configurations

• Implement and optimise Google Consent Mode

• Ensure that Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) are properly integrated, GDPR-compliant, and compatible with analytics and marketing tools; legal expertise is not required, but relevant experience is an advantage

• Provide strategic and technical analytics consulting to our German-speaking clients

• Collaborate with our English-speaking internal tech support team to build, challenge, and continuously optimise tracking setups

• Support data integrations with BigQuery and Looker Studio, with additional assistance from specialist team members

• Provide general technical support across Digital Analytics, Tracking, and MarTech

Requirements

• At least five years of hands-on experience in Digital Analytics, ideally more

• Expert-level knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Consent Management Platforms; experience with Shopify is an advantage

• Experience in a relevant digital marketing discipline, such as Paid Search, Paid Social, or Display Advertising

• Proven experience with server-side Google Tag Manager is essential

• A solid understanding of the GDPR and its implications for digital tracking and data collection

• Familiarity with BigQuery, Looker Studio, and other Google Cloud tools

• Basic JavaScript skills, particularly in areas such as event handling and dataLayer manipulation

• Ability to advise clients professionally in German and communicate fluently in English with our internal team

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach in a technical environment
